Our cosy little restaurant emulates the hustle and bustle of busy Vietnamese life, yet completely relaxing, is the perfect backdrop to serve up the light and aromatic flavours of Vietnamese cuisine.
Here you can enjoy slurping a spicy Hue or a deep sweet taste of our Pho broth and delight in our menu of authentic dishes, both old school and contemporary, with Vietnamese inspired O! cocktails.
We pride ourselves on offering you the authentic taste of Vietnam using well sourced ingredients from the British Isles whenever possible. Our meat and fish are always from here and our vegetables are always fresh, chilled but never frozen. Each and every dish we cook is made with equal passion and soul from our chefs – both a la carte and street food.
Take our beef Pho for example, you won’t find us using an inferior cut just because Pho is seen as an inexpensive dish, we use the best and so at Orchid you’ll find rib-eye steak in this very traditional Vietnamese noodle soup.
Our fish and squid are caught daily in Dorset, our meats are sourced from Hampshire and Somerset. That much can tell that we care what you care and we don’t stop there. We have a saying at Orchid – 'to cook good food you need ingredient, to cook great food you must have passion and the most expensive ingredient of all - time” and we have plenty of it. Even our wine list is carefully selected to match the aromatic dishes on the menu.Eat Orchid - Taste Vietnam
The capital of Vietnam, the centre of five thousand year culture – Ha Noi, the jewel of Vietnamese history
Here you will find yourself in a quiet serenity of abandoned ruins of the old citadel, a feeling of peace, to leave behind the stresses of daily busy life. Some say Hanoi Autumn is unique. It is when the city puts on its most charming display of silky “ao dais”(Full length dress worn over silk trousers), this takes you away from reality into a world of beauty steeped in tradition you will only find in Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City (Sai Gon)
This is a high-octane city of commerce and culture that has driven the whole country forward with its limitless energy
Unlike the quietness and serenity of Hanoi, you will see how two worlds blend seamlessly with the ancient pagodas, wooden shops and markets selling baskets, silk and spices; all of this laying beneath the towering skyscrapers, minimalist bars, gourmet restaurants and the designer malls.
There really is something for everyone in this city and you can embrace part or all of the variety of culture, history and cuisine.
